One way to secure your PC is by using password but password is easy to crack. To solve this, if user have important file in their hard drive, user can use cryptography to secure the data. The file is encrypted so no one can crack it. There is open source software (freeware) to encrypt file/hard disk that can be downloaded:
- FineCrypt (Secure File Encryption)
- TrueCrypt (Disk Partition Encryption)
- Blowfish Advanced CS (File Encryption)
- Encrypt\Decrypt File Utility 1 (One layer Encryption for encrypt file)
- DirLock (Lock Directory without Encryption)
